Darlington – Developer Deal
United Co-operatives has recently acquired 3,700 sqft (gross) of retail space in the prestigious West Park Community Village Development in Darlington. The development, by Bussey & Armstrong Projects, is situated on the north west fringe of Darlington Town Centre, close to the residential areas of Cockerton and Faverdale. It includes 700 new homes (Bellway and Bussey and Armstrong), an NHS priority services hospital, a doctors surgery, pharmacy, new primary school, village hall, nursery and community village. The store opened in September 2006 and has been a great success, highlighting that developer led mixed use schemes can be great locations for our convenience stores.
